Tri Vision billboards are rotating billboards that contain 3 static images.
The Graphics: An advertisement is sliced into vertical strips, with each strip attached or slid into one side of a prism.
Before anything is printed, prepress software calculates the exact slice geometry based on the billboard frame's mechanical specifications.
The graphic is printed directly onto—or mounted to—thin, rigid synthetic sheets. These strips slide directly into the prism grooves from the top or bottom, completely eliminating messy adhesive removal during campaign changes.
You only order the live or viewable area on Tri Visions. There is no wrap or pockets needed for Tri Vision orders.
Automated Multi-Blade Slitters: Master printed rolls are fed into specialized vertical rotary slitters configured with multiple gang-cutting blades set to the exact millimeter width of the prisms.
Once slit, the strips are bundled in strict numerical order, rolled or packed flat into marked containers, and sent to the field crew:
- Sequential Loading: Installers feed the strips into the prisms from left to right starting with Slat 1.
- Accessing Faces: With slide-in systems, installers insert all strips for Face A.
- Locking Bars: A mechanical retainer strip or locking cap is fastened at the top and bottom of each prism to prevent the strips from shifting or flying out during severe windstorms.
